“I pray for the peace of the departed souls and ask God to grant strength to the bereaved family members to endure this unexpected tragedy,” he added.

It is noteworthy that the tragic road accident in Chamba district of Himachal Pradesh occurred when a tourist taxi fell into a deep gorge near Sach Pass. The vehicle was traveling on the Bairagarh-Killar route when the fatal accident happened at a turn near Kalaban.

Officials reported that the accident occurred as the car was heading towards the snow-covered Sach Pass, one of the most challenging roads in Himachal Pradesh.

According to police, the car carrying tourists plunged into a deep gorge around midnight on May 29. Following an extensive search and rescue operation conducted under difficult geographical conditions, authorities recovered all eight bodies from the accident site.

Police indicated that the tourists had come to Himachal Pradesh for sightseeing and were staying at a hotel in Dalhousie. They set out for Sach Pass on May 29 but did not return by evening. The hotel management alerted the police, prompting the initiation of a search operation.
