
New Delhi, March 31: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be in Gujarat on Tuesday. He will inaugurate the Samrat Samprati Museum located at the Koba Tirth in Gandhinagar. Following this, he will head to Ahmedabad to launch several development projects.
According to reports, PM Modi will inaugurate the museum at the Mahavir Jain Aradhana Center around 10:00 AM. This museum, named after Samrat Samprati, the grandson of Emperor Ashoka and a revered figure in Jain history, consists of seven sections, each dedicated to a unique aspect of India’s civilizational traditions.
The Prime Minister stated, “This museum not only preserves our heritage but also showcases the enduring impact of exemplary Jain culture and society.”
Later, at 12:45 PM, PM Modi will inaugurate the Caynes Semiconductor Plant located in the Sanand GIDC area of Ahmedabad. This facility is expected to be a significant milestone for India’s semiconductor sector.
On the social media platform ‘X’, PM Modi mentioned, “This will accelerate India’s efforts to become a semiconductor hub and encourage self-reliance in high-tech manufacturing.”
The plant will commence commercial production of advanced Intelligent Power Modules (IPMs), essential components for automotive and industrial applications. Each module contains 17 chips and will be supplied to California-based Alpha and Omega Semiconductor (AOS).
This facility will be India’s second semiconductor plant to begin commercial production under the ‘India Semiconductor Mission’, following Micron Technology.
PM Modi will also visit Vav-Tharad, where he will lay the foundation stone for several development projects worth over ₹20,000 crores. These projects will cover electricity, railways, roads and highways, health, urban development, tribal development, and rural development.
Reports indicate that the Prime Minister will inaugurate the Ahmedabad-Dholera Expressway, a controlled highway built at a cost exceeding ₹5,100 crores, which will enhance connectivity to the Dholera Special Investment Region and promote industrial growth.
He will also lay the foundation stone for the four-lane Idar-Badoli bypass and upgrade the Dholavira-Mauvana-Vav-Santalpur NH-754K segment to a two-lane paved shoulder carriageway.
Subsequently, flyovers at Bhaiyajipura Junction and PDPJ Junction will be inaugurated, reducing traffic congestion on roads that see over 140,000 vehicles daily.
In the electricity sector, the Prime Minister will inaugurate the Khavda Pooling Station-2 and associated transmission systems, enabling the transport of 4.5 gigawatts of renewable energy with an investment of approximately ₹3,650 crores.
In urban and health infrastructure, PM Modi will inaugurate 44 urban development projects worth ₹5,300 crores, including rain shelter facilities with 858 beds at civil hospitals in Asarwa, Ahmedabad, and a government boys’ hostel for tribal students in Vejalpur.
Tourism initiatives will include a light and sound show at Rani Ki Vav in Patan, a water screen projection show at Sharmistha Lake in Vadnagar, and the foundation stone for tourism infrastructure at Balram Mahadev and Vishweshwar Mahadev in Banaskantha.
Key water projects include the Kasara-Dantivada and Dindrol-Mukteshwar pipelines, along with a water supply scheme for Ambaji and surrounding villages, expected to benefit around 150,000 people.
Additionally, expansion work at the Sabarmati Riverfront in Gandhinagar will commence with an estimated investment of ₹1,000 crores.
