New Delhi, June 6: Prime Minister Narendra Modi recently shared highlights from his visit to Gujarat, praising the city of Surat. He emphasized the collective commitment to strengthen India and achieve self-reliance.
On Saturday, the day after his Gujarat trip, PM Modi posted a video on the social media platform X. He expressed, “It was wonderful to be among the people of Surat yesterday. Together, we reaffirmed our commitment to make India stronger and self-reliant.”
The video showcased images from various events he attended, along with excerpts from his speeches. He remarked, “Sometimes I feel that Surat is not just a city; it embodies a spirit. Our resolve for a ‘developed Gujarat’ and a ‘developed India’ must be pursued with dedication and a sense of service.”
He pointed out the importance of energy self-reliance amid global crises. “The meaning of a self-reliant India is evident when you visit Hazira. Hazira is no longer just an industrial area; it has evolved into an ecosystem with energy, steel, defense production, ports, and global trade. Hazira is developing into a major maritime industrial hub and a significant center for self-reliant India,” he stated.
PM Modi also targeted his opponents, saying, “Today, there are some pessimistic individuals in the country who mock the self-reliant India initiative. They continuously belittle this national resolve.”
He concluded, “India has moved far beyond negativity. It is a country filled with boundless optimism and incredible aspirations. The citizens of India are filled with dreams and commitments. When the population is determined, the country can achieve any goal, and that is the strength of India.”
