Mamatas Rule Nears End, Development Will Flourish: Krishna Hegde

Mumbai, March 30: Shiv Sena leader Krishna Hegde has asserted that the rule of West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee will soon come to an end, paving the way for development in the state.

In a conversation in Mumbai, Hegde responded to Banerjee’s recent statements, highlighting that despite her government and Bengal police, she is fearful for her safety. This, he claims, indicates serious flaws in her administration.

Hegde sarcastically questioned why Banerjee is concerned about her security only during election season, suggesting she seeks public sympathy. However, he believes the people of Bengal will not support her. He criticized the lack of development under her government, stating that the citizens are dissatisfied and are ready for change, opting for the lotus symbol representing development.

Regarding the Congress party’s five guarantees for the Assam elections, Hegde remarked that Congress merely pretends to offer assurances. He noted that in Congress-ruled states, promises made during elections often go unfulfilled once they are in power. The public is well aware of Congress’s policies, and he believes they will not succeed in Assam.

On Home Minister Amit Shah’s comments about illegal immigration, Hegde stated that the process has revealed numerous fraudulent entries in the voter list, which have now been removed. He emphasized the necessity of expelling illegal immigrants from India and welcomed Shah’s statements regarding internal security.

In light of ongoing conflicts in the Middle East, Hegde advised the Congress party to stand firmly with the government during crises. He lamented that even in times of disaster, Congress seems preoccupied with political maneuvering, which he believes is detrimental to the nation.
