Lenovo Launches IdeaPad Slim 5i Featuring Intel Wildcat Lake Processors and 120Hz Display

Mumbai, May 25: Lenovo has introduced a new 15-inch laptop, the IdeaPad Slim 5i (model 15IWC11). This model recently appeared on the company’s product specification site, revealing its hardware details ahead of any official pricing or availability announcements. Rather than reinventing the wheel, Lenovo has opted for a straightforward and practical design centered around Intel’s new Wildcat Lake processors.

Specifications of Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 5i

The laptop features a 15.3-inch 120Hz IPS touchscreen display with a resolution of 1920×1200. This configuration utilizes the taller 16:10 aspect ratio, providing additional vertical space for reading and working. The display reaches a maximum brightness of 400 nits and covers the standard sRGB color gamut. The chassis is constructed from aluminum, finished in a simple gray, and weighs approximately 3.28 pounds, which is typical for a laptop of this size.

Inside, users can choose between an Intel Core i5 320 or Core i7 350 processor. Both options are six-core chips, featuring two performance cores and four low-power efficiency cores. As expected in 2026, the laptop includes a neural processing unit (NPU) capable of up to 17 TOPS.

This configuration meets the baseline for Microsoft’s AI PC branding, which includes a mandatory Copilot key on the keyboard. For memory, users can opt for either 16GB or 32GB of RAM, although it is soldered to the motherboard, preventing future upgrades. Storage is managed by a standard M.2 SSD, with options up to 1TB.

Lenovo offers two battery sizes: 54.7Wh and 70Wh. The specifications claim up to 22.8 hours of local 1080p video playback with the larger battery, though real-world usage, such as web browsing and work tasks, will likely reduce this duration.

The port selection is practical, featuring two USB-C ports for charging and display output, two standard USB-A ports, an HDMI 2.1 port, a microSD card reader, and a headphone jack. Additionally, there is a 1080p webcam equipped with a physical privacy shutter and an IR sensor for Windows Hello facial recognition.

In related news, Lenovo has also updated the ThinkPad E14 and E16 models with Intel Core Ultra processors, high refresh rate 2.8K/2.5K displays, and AI-powered features.
