Huawei Unveils Nova 16 Series Launch Event, Showcases Nova 16 Pro in Sky Blue

Beijing, May 25: Huawei is gearing up to refresh its mid-range smartphone lineup with the upcoming Nova 16 series. The company has begun teasing the new devices and has announced their launch date.

The Huawei Nova 16 series is set to debut on June 1 in China. The event is also expected to unveil additional products from Huawei’s ecosystem, including the MatePad Pro Max tablet and a new Supernova smartwatch.

The company has introduced a new “Sky Blue” color option for the Nova 16 Pro. The promotional image showcases the phone with a striking blue finish and a white ribbon-like accent that runs across the back panel.

The camera module is particularly eye-catching. It features two circular black discs that appear to house a triple-camera setup along with an LED light.

Huawei Nova 16 Series: What We Know So Far

Reports indicate that the Nova 16 lineup will consist of three models: the Nova 16, Nova 16 Pro, and Nova 16 Pro Max. Notably, Huawei is skipping the Ultra model this time.

The standard Nova 16 and Nova 16 Pro are expected to be available in black, white, blue, and a gradient finish. However, the top-end version may forgo the gradient look entirely, opting instead for black, white, and blue.

The Pro Max is rumored to feature a 6.84-inch 1.5K LTPO display and will likely be powered by a Kirin 9000-series chipset. A robust 7000mAh battery is expected to fuel the device.

Camera specifications for the Nova 16 Pro Max may include a 200-megapixel main camera with a large 1/1.28-inch sensor, a periscope telephoto lens, and a multispectral sensor. Additionally, the phone is anticipated to support wireless charging.

As with all leaks, details may change before the official launch, so it’s wise to approach this information with caution.
