Mumbai, May 25: Xiaomi appears to be gearing up for the global release of its next Smart Band model. A new wearable, identified by the model number M2561B1, has surfaced in regulatory databases from Taiwan’s NCC and Singapore’s IMDA, indicating that an international launch may be imminent.
Both certifications refer to the device simply as a “Smart Band,” without disclosing its official marketing name. However, the model number strongly suggests its position within Xiaomi’s product lineup.
For context, Xiaomi previously assigned model numbers M2551B1 and M2553B1 to the standard and NFC versions of the recently launched Smart Band 10 Pro. Consequently, the newly discovered M2561B1 is widely anticipated to be part of the upcoming Smart Band 11 series.
Early speculation hints that it could potentially be the Smart Band 11 Active, although the certification documents do not confirm this.
The timing is noteworthy. Xiaomi recently launched the Smart Band 10 Pro in China, featuring enhancements such as a 1.74-inch curved AMOLED display, upgraded health sensors, and improved fitness tracking capabilities. Meanwhile, the previous Smart Band 9 Pro remains a popular choice among budget fitness trackers in various global markets.
Xiaomi’s Smart Band series has established a reputation for delivering valuable health and fitness features at competitive prices. Heart rate monitoring, sleep tracking, long battery life, and numerous workout modes have become standard across the lineup, allowing the series to compete effectively against pricier wearables.
Currently, the new certification listings do not provide any hardware specifics, but they strongly indicate that Xiaomi is preparing to launch another wearable outside of China. If this device is indeed part of the Smart Band 11 series, users can likely expect enhancements in tracking accuracy, software features, and battery optimization.
With these certifications now appearing internationally, it may not be long before more detailed information about Xiaomi’s next Smart Band is revealed.
