TCL Unveils Thunderobot 25Q5A Gaming Monitor with Impressive 1080p 300Hz Mini LED Display

Beijing, May 25: TCL’s FFALCON has launched its latest gaming monitor, the Thunderobot 25Q5A, in China. This 24.5-inch display is designed for high-speed gaming at an accessible price point. It is also marketed as the 2026 FFALCON F6 and is currently available on JD.com for 839 yuan (approximately $122).

TCL Thunderobot 25Q5A Specifications

The monitor features a CSOT-made Fast IPS panel with a resolution of 1920 x 1080, a native refresh rate of 300Hz, and the capability to support up to 303Hz in specific scenarios. Additionally, it boasts a 1ms GtG response time, minimizing motion blur and ghosting during fast-paced gaming sessions.

What sets this monitor apart from typical budget 1080p models is its Mini LED backlight, which includes 84 local dimming zones. This technology enhances contrast and allows for more precise brightness control. It supports VESA DisplayHDR 600 and can achieve peak brightness levels of up to 600 nits, significantly improving HDR performance.

In terms of color accuracy, the Thunderobot 25Q5A covers 99% of the sRGB color gamut and 93% of the DCI-P3 color space. Thunderobot claims that these displays are factory-calibrated to achieve a Delta E value of less than 2, ensuring accurate color reproduction right out of the box.

On the software and processing front, the 25Q5A is compatible with AMD FreeSync Premium and Nvidia G-Sync to eliminate screen tearing. It also features an MPRT-Plus smart backlight control system, which utilizes motion interpolation and zone-based lighting to further reduce blur.

The monitor comes with a fully adjustable stand, offering 125mm of height adjustment, a tilt range of -5° to 15°, ±20° swivel, and ±90° pivot for vertical use. It is also compatible with standard VESA wall mounts. Connectivity options are straightforward yet functional, including HDMI and DisplayPort inputs, as well as a 3.5mm audio jack.

In related news, Huawei has recently introduced a new 27-inch 4K monitor featuring dual-mode 320Hz support and 100W USB-C charging.
