New Delhi, March 14: In response to the evolving situation in the Middle East, IndiGo has decided to implement cautious changes to its operations. From March 16 to March 28, the airline will operate a total of 252 weekly flights to and from the region.
IndiGo is nearly back to its regular schedule. The airline will run 126 weekly flights to Saudi Arabia and 28 weekly flights to Oman. Additionally, there will be 98 weekly flights to the UAE.
The airline stated that it is closely monitoring the regional situation. Flight capacity is being determined considering current geopolitical risks, airspace restrictions, airport limitations, rising fuel and insurance costs, and other uncertainties. These measures aim to maintain safe and reliable flight services in the region.
Passengers traveling from these Middle Eastern locations will continue to have connecting flights to India and other cities through IndiGo’s extensive network.
However, under the revised network, flights to Doha, Kuwait, Bahrain, Dammam, Fujairah, Ras Al Khaimah, and Sharjah will remain suspended until March 28.
The airline has expressed its commitment to assist passengers in these challenging circumstances. Additional special flights may be operated for stranded travelers if necessary.
To keep passengers informed, IndiGo is continuously updating its website and social media platforms. Travelers are encouraged to check the latest flight information and travel advisories before planning their journeys.
IndiGo is coordinating with relevant authorities and will continue to adjust its operations based on the situation. The safety of passengers, crew, and aircraft remains the airline’s top priority.
