Siwar, May 11: The recent Supreme Court ruling regarding the Sir Madhav School has sparked a significant controversy, as stated by Rajasthan Congress President and Laxmangarh MLA Govind Singh Dotasra. He noted that a trust initiated this dispute over the school, which subsequently led to a legal battle that the trust ultimately won.
Dotasra emphasized the importance of the school, describing it as a temple of education and a part of the region’s heritage. He pointed out that it was the first school established in Siwar before independence. While he refrained from discussing the specifics of the legal documents involved, he highlighted that Rao Raja had pioneered public education, which has allowed many to advance through education. He expressed that the trust should not have engaged in a dispute over such an institution.
He conveyed his disappointment, stating that the trust should recognize the gravity of their actions. Dotasra remarked that the fight is not just about preserving the legacy initiated by Rao Raja Singh but also about shaping the future of children. He urged the trust to understand this sentiment.
Regarding the trust’s claim to construct a Vedic Ashram on the premises, Dotasra questioned their intentions, asking if they truly wished to promote Sanskrit studies. He expressed sympathy for the mahant, suggesting that halting a noble cause has turned them into a villain. He noted that a priest’s faith lies in God, and it is contradictory for someone to obstruct public welfare for personal motives. He questioned what the trust aims to prove by taking over a public educational institution.
It is noteworthy that the recent Supreme Court order has resolved a long-standing dispute between the Shri Kalyan Temple and the administration. After nearly 27 years of legal struggle, the temple administration has regained control over the land, leading to the evacuation of the Madhav School campus.
