Community Efforts Essential to Combat Dengue, Says Health Minister Nadda

New Delhi, May 16: On National Dengue Day, Union Health Minister Jagat Prakash Nadda urged citizens to stay vigilant against dengue. He emphasized the importance of cleanliness, preventing water accumulation, and maintaining a safe environment. The government is strengthening dengue control through monitoring, testing, treatment, and awareness campaigns. Nadda stated that community participation is crucial in the fight against dengue.

In a post on his social media account, Nadda said, “On National Dengue Day, let us all work together to raise awareness about dengue prevention and keep our surroundings clean and safe. The Government of India is continuously enhancing dengue control through better monitoring, testing, advanced treatment, and awareness campaigns. This year’s theme, ‘Community Participation for Dengue Control: Check, Clean, and Cover,’ reminds us that community efforts are vital to defeating dengue. Let’s build a healthier tomorrow together.”

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath also shared a message on social media, stating, “Effective control of dengue is possible through caution, cleanliness, vigilance, and timely treatment. On this National Dengue Day, let us pledge to keep our homes, surroundings, and society clean, ensuring no water stagnation. Stay alert, stay safe.”

Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami echoed similar sentiments, saying, “Dengue can only be prevented through awareness. Let us all commit to spreading public awareness for dengue prevention while maintaining cleanliness around our homes.”

Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma called for collective efforts to raise awareness about dengue and its prevention on National Dengue Day. He stated, “Cleanliness, vigilance, and timely treatment are the most effective measures to prevent dengue. Ensure no water stagnation around you and follow health precautions. Contribute to building a healthy and safe Rajasthan.”

Bihar Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary urged everyone to spread awareness about dengue and adopt cleanliness. He said, “Let us all pledge to maintain cleanliness around us, prevent water accumulation, and take timely precautions to keep ourselves and our families safe. Awareness and vigilance are the most effective measures against dengue.”

Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav emphasized the need for cleanliness, awareness, and vigilance to prevent dengue. He stated, “On National Dengue Day, let us all pledge not to allow water stagnation around us and to raise awareness about dengue among everyone. A clean environment is the foundation of a healthy life.”
