High Court Ruling Ensures Worship Rights at Bhojshala: Chief Minister Mohan Yadav

Bhopal, May 15: Chief Minister Mohan Yadav expressed his delight over the recent ruling by the Madhya Pradesh High Court’s Indore bench regarding Bhojshala. He stated that this decision guarantees the right of devotees to worship at Bhojshala.

The court resolved a long-standing dispute on Friday, affirming that Bhojshala was constructed by King Bhoj and is a temple complex.

Reacting to the High Court’s decision, Yadav remarked that the ruling recognizes the historical significance of Bhojshala in Dhar as a protected monument and a site of worship for Goddess Vagdevi. This moment is crucial for honoring our cultural heritage, faith, and history. The Archaeological Survey of India will further enhance the dignity of Bhojshala, ensuring devotees’ rights to worship.

Currently, the statue of Goddess Saraswati from Bhojshala is housed in a museum in London. Yadav welcomed the directive to the central government to consider bringing the statue back to India. The state government will also make necessary efforts in this regard.

Yadav emphasized that our culture has always promoted ‘Sarva Dharma Sambhava’, social harmony, and brotherhood. We fully respect the court’s decision and are committed to strengthening harmony, cultural pride, and social cohesion in the state. This ruling is commendable, and the state government will ensure effective implementation.

Dr. Swapna Verma, the state general secretary of the BJP Mahila Morcha, welcomed the High Court’s decision, stating that it reinforces our unwavering faith in the judiciary regarding the historical and cultural heritage of Bhojshala. The Hindu community has always held deep faith in the judiciary, and we respect this ruling, which grants the right to worship Goddess Vagdevi at Bhojshala in Dhar.
