Amit Shah Reviews Key Development Projects During Gujarat Visit

New Delhi, May 16: Union Home and Cooperation Minister Amit Shah will embark on a two-day visit to Gujarat starting Saturday. During this trip, he will participate in several government programs in Ahmedabad and Gandhinagar.

Throughout his visit, Shah will review major development initiatives, engage with newly elected civic representatives, and inaugurate a new milk processing plant aimed at strengthening the dairy sector in the region.

As part of his agenda, Shah will meet with newly elected councilors of the Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation (AMC). He will also hold review meetings with senior municipal officials to assess the progress of ongoing development projects in Ahmedabad and Gandhinagar.

On Saturday, he will chair a high-level review meeting at the AMC’s southwest zone office in Ahmedabad. The focus of this meeting will be on development projects under the Gandhinagar Lok Sabha constituency, with discussions expected on several significant civic and infrastructure initiatives worth millions of rupees.

Key topics likely to be discussed during the meeting include urban infrastructure development, projects for interlinking ponds, and preparations for the upcoming monsoon season’s ‘Mission 5 Million Trees’ campaign. Senior municipal officials, including the municipal commissioner and top administrative officers, are expected to attend this review meeting.

This visit is considered crucial for monitoring development activities in the region and accelerating civic projects. Officials are also expected to update the Union Minister on the implementation status of various welfare and environmental initiatives.

On May 17, Amit Shah will visit Gandhinagar district, where he will inaugurate a newly constructed milk processing plant operated by the Gandhinagar District Milk Producers Cooperative Society at Madhur Dairy. This new dairy plant is located near Chhiloada village in Gandhinagar district.

The inauguration ceremony is set to begin at 1:00 PM. During this visit, the Union Home Minister will inspect the modern milk processing facility and later address a public gathering at the event site. This newly inaugurated plant is expected to significantly enhance dairy processing capacity in the region and benefit local milk producers connected to the cooperative network.
