Twisha Sharma Case: Bail of Giribala Singh Revoked, Father Thanks CJI and Media

Greater Noida, May 29: Twisha Sharma‘s father, Navnidhi Sharma, expressed gratitude on Thursday towards the media, the people of India, and Chief Justice Suryakant. He thanked them for their support in the family’s fight for justice. This acknowledgment came after the Madhya Pradesh High Court revoked the anticipatory bail of Twisha’s mother-in-law and former judge, Giribala Singh.

In an interview with a news agency, Sharma stated, “First, I want to thank my friends in the media and all Indians who have supported us in this fight for justice. I also want to thank the Chief Justice of India. They have taken necessary steps and set a precedent that no one is above the law.”

He emphasized the significance of the High Court’s decision, noting that it would boost the confidence of those seeking justice. “The High Court’s ruling is very important. It will serve as an example for others in the fight for justice,” he added.

Sharma raised concerns about the rising cases of dowry-related deaths, urging society to unite to address this issue. “Nowadays, dowry-related deaths are a major concern. We must find a way to overcome this problem,” he said.

He also expressed confidence in the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI), stating, “I have full faith in the CBI. They have solved many cases before, and I am sure they will deliver justice in this matter as well.”

Meanwhile, a significant development has emerged in this high-profile dowry-related death case. The CBI detained retired district judge Giribala Singh from her residence in Bhopal concerning her daughter-in-law’s alleged suicide, later arresting her.

A CBI team, accompanied by a large police force, arrived at Giribala Singh’s home in the Katara Hills area early in the day. Local police cordoned off the entire area, restricting public movement during the arrest process.
