New Delhi, May 29: Union Minister Piyush Goyal has targeted Congress MP Rahul Gandhi, claiming he suffers from political amnesia and prioritizes publicity over facts.
In a post on the social media platform X, Goyal stated that the company Rahul Gandhi now criticizes, Coempt Edutech Private Limited, was previously awarded multiple projects by Congress-led governments in Telangana and Karnataka.
Goyal asserted that Bengaluru City University (Karnataka) signed an agreement with the company in November 2025, while Kaloji Narayana Rao University of Health Sciences (Telangana) did so in September 2024. Additionally, Adikavi Sri Maharshi Valmiki University in Raichur issued a work order in March 2024, and Karnataka University in Dharwad followed suit in June 2023. He noted that Telangana State Health University praised the company’s work on its official website.
The minister posed two questions to Rahul Gandhi: If the company is indeed suspicious, will he accuse the Congress Chief Ministers of Telangana and Karnataka of collusion and demand their resignations? He also questioned whether the Congress governments signed these agreements without due diligence or if the current opposition is merely aimed at targeting the central government.
Goyal accused the Congress party of a long-standing pattern of making baseless allegations and resorting to conspiracy theories when confronted with facts. He emphasized that the nation has moved beyond such “selective outrage.”
Previously, Rahul Gandhi had criticized Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, prompting Goyal’s response to Gandhi’s remarks.
