Ahmedabad, May 29: Under the guidance of Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel, the Gujarat government has embraced Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s appeal to conserve fuel and expand the use of green energy among citizens and government institutions.
Agriculture Minister Jitu Vaghani responded positively to this initiative, issuing an urgent directive for the installation of solar rooftops across all offices, boards, corporations, and educational institutions under the agriculture department.
Minister Vaghani stated that implementing solar rooftops in government offices will reduce dependence on electricity generated from traditional fuels and promote the use of renewable energy sources like solar energy.
Following the minister’s instructions, this project will commence immediately in all department heads’ offices, agricultural universities, boards, and corporations, as well as in district and taluka headquarters that currently lack solar rooftops. To expedite the process, all relevant offices are required to prepare and submit their proposals to the Gujarat Energy Development Agency (GEDA) within the next seven days.
This initiative from the Agriculture Department is expected to significantly reduce electricity bills for government offices and further strengthen Prime Minister Modi‘s vision of making Gujarat a leader in clean and green energy in the country.
