Bhubaneswar, May 29: The Odisha Power Transmission Corporation Limited (OPTCL) has announced a recruitment notification for 60 Management Trainee (Electrical) positions. This includes 10 vacancies for SC, 12 for ST, 7 for SEBC, and 31 for UR candidates.
The online application process for these positions commenced on May 26 at 4 PM and will close on June 25. Interested candidates can submit their registration forms on the official OPTCL portal before the deadline.
Applicants must hold a degree in Electrical or Electrical and Electronics Engineering from a recognized university or institution, with a minimum of 60% marks. Alternatively, candidates should have passed sections A and B of the IE (India) examination with at least 50% marks. Additionally, candidates must have appeared for and passed the GATE-2026 exam conducted by IIT Guwahati.
The minimum age for applicants is set at 21 years, while the maximum age is 32 years, calculated as of May 1. Age relaxation will be provided for candidates from reserved categories as per regulations.
Selection will be based on the GATE-2026 score, personal interviews, shortlisting, medical tests, and document verification. Selected candidates will receive a monthly stipend of ₹50,000 during the first year of training. After training, salaries will range from ₹56,100 to ₹1,77,500 per month, along with additional benefits and allowances.
When filling out the application form, candidates must pay the specified application fee online. The fee is ₹1,180 for unreserved (UR)/SEBC candidates and ₹590 for SC/ST (only from Odisha)/PWD candidates. Departmental candidates (regular employees) of OPTCL are exempt from the registration fee.
