New Delhi, May 29: Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan chaired a high-level review meeting at the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) headquarters in New Delhi on Thursday. The meeting focused on evaluating Class 12 examinations and addressing post-examination processes.

Present at the meeting were Sanjay Kumar, Secretary of the Department of School Education and Literacy, CBSE Chairman Rahul Singh, IIT Madras Director Prof. V. Kamakoti, the Director of IIT Kanpur, senior officials from the Ministry of Education, and representatives from public sector banks including SBI, Indian Bank, Bank of Baroda, and Canara Bank.

During the meeting, the Education Minister instructed officials to ensure timely, transparent, and student-friendly solutions to students’ issues. He reiterated the government’s commitment to transparency, accountability, and a student-centered examination system, assuring students and parents that all genuine concerns would be addressed effectively and promptly.

The Minister emphasized strengthening student support systems, improving the evaluation and monitoring framework, enhancing the CBSE digital platform, and making examination-related services more accessible and efficient for students.

He was informed that approximately 1.8 million students participated in this year’s Class 12 exams, which included around 9.8 million answer sheets and nearly 400 million scanned pages. So far, about 400,000 students have accessed approximately 1.1 million scanned answer sheets through the portal.

Highlighting that student interests are the government’s top priority, Dharmendra Pradhan assured strict action against any form of negligence, stating that no carelessness would be tolerated within or outside the system.

The Education Minister also acknowledged reports regarding login issues on the post-examination service portal, server overload, and payment difficulties.

A specialized technical team of professors from IIT Madras and digital system experts has been tasked with reviewing the portal’s stability, server capacity, login management, and payment gateway integration to ensure uninterrupted and smooth services for students. The Ministry of Education is closely monitoring the situation.
