Malayalam Film Kattalan Receives A Certification, Set to Release on May 28

Chennai, May 23: The excitement surrounding pan-India films continues to grow among audiences. A highly anticipated movie from the Malayalam film industry, ‘Kattalan,’ is making headlines as it prepares for its release. Starring actor Antony Varghese, popularly known as ‘Pepe,’ the film has garnered significant attention recently.

The buzz intensified after the film received approval from the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC), which granted it an ‘A’ certificate. The production company, Cube Entertainment, made the official announcement on Instagram, stating, “Get ready for a big hunt, ‘Kattalan’ is now fully prepared for release and will hit theaters worldwide on May 28.”

As the news spread on social media, fans’ excitement for the film surged. One of the most intriguing aspects of ‘Kattalan’ is that Antony Varghese plays a character named after himself. While he is known in the industry as ‘Pepe,’ his character will also be called ‘Antony Varghese.’ This nickname originated from his role as Vincent Pepe in the hit film ‘Angamaly Diaries,’ which endeared him to fans.

The film features several prominent actors in key roles. Telugu actor Sunil will portray the character ‘Mari,’ while Tamil actress Dushara Vijayan will appear as ‘Lucy.’ Additionally, actors Kabir Duhan Singh and Parth Tiwari will play the roles of ‘Eddy’ and ‘Robbie,’ respectively.

Raj Tirandasu, known for his performance in the blockbuster ‘Pushpa,’ is also part of the cast, taking on the character ‘Mari 95.’

There is considerable buzz surrounding the film’s music as well. Initially, it was reported that the renowned composer Ajaneesh Loknath, known for ‘Kantara 2,’ would be handling the soundtrack. However, the producers later made a significant change, bringing in Ravi Basrur, the composer famous for his powerful background music in films like ‘KGF.’ Fans now have high expectations for the music and background score of ‘Kattalan.’
