Ken Richardson, the Australian fast bowler, has announced his retirement from professional cricket, concluding a career that spanned nearly 17 years. Throughout his journey, he represented Australia at the international level, won domestic tournaments, and played in franchise leagues across the globe.
Richardson was a key member of the Australian squad that won the T20 World Cup in 2021. He is recognized as one of the most successful bowlers in the history of the Big Bash League (BBL), having taken 142 wickets across 15 seasons. This achievement places him fifth on the list of highest wicket-takers in the men’s category of the league.

Aside from T20 cricket, Richardson also excelled in red-ball and one-day domestic formats. He took 102 wickets in 34 first-class matches and claimed 153 wickets in 98 List A games.
