Mumbai, June 5: In a tragic incident in the Rasulpur Hamir village of the Mainather police station area in Uttar Pradesh, a man named Naseem allegedly killed his wife, Sana (25), by striking her on the head with a brick. The incident occurred on Friday morning. Following the attack, Naseem fled the scene with their three-year-old son, Ali Hamza, but abandoned the child en route and escaped on a private bus.
According to SP (Rural) Kunwar Akash Singh, police received reports early in the morning about the incident. “Upon arrival, we learned that a husband had severely injured his wife with a brick during an argument. She was immediately taken to the district hospital, where she succumbed to her injuries,” he stated.
A case has been registered based on the complaint, and legal proceedings are underway. Initial investigations suggest that Naseem had a history of substance abuse, which may have contributed to the domestic disputes leading to the murder. Neighbors and children are being questioned, and a team has been formed to apprehend the suspect, who is expected to be arrested soon.
SP Singh noted that Naseem and Sana had a love marriage six years ago. However, their relationship had deteriorated over the past two years. The couple had three young children present in the house at the time of the incident.
The police have initiated a manhunt for the fugitive Naseem based on the filed complaint. The cause of death will be confirmed following the post-mortem report. The incident has sent shockwaves through the village, with neighbors claiming that three other individuals may also be involved. Naseem, a truck driver, had returned home three days prior to the incident. The police investigation is ongoing.
