Mumbai, June 5: Actress Urvashi Dholakia, known for her iconic role as Komolika in the popular serial ‘Kasautii Zindagii Kay’, has made a significant mark in the television industry. However, behind her on-screen success lies a long and challenging journey. Recently, Urvashi opened up about her life’s untold stories on the show ‘Tum Ho Na’, discussing how she balanced work, marriage, motherhood, and career responsibilities at a young age.
During the conversation, host Rajeev Khandelwal highlighted the struggles that often go unnoticed in the glamorous lives of artists. He noted, “Many women ponder why they face challenges in life. Urvashi’s story can inspire and empower them. She started working at the age of six and got married early, which led her to become a mother at a young age.”
With a smile, Urvashi shared that she became a mother at just 17. She reminisced about her childhood, recalling, “When I was little, the era of colored television began, and I would watch commercials intently. One day, I told my mother that I didn’t want to watch TV anymore. She thought I would focus on my studies. But I didn’t want to stop watching; I wanted to be on TV. I dreamed of acting and being in front of the camera.”
Urvashi expressed, “Acting has always been my biggest dream. I never considered any other profession. My desire was to act and build a career in this field, which is why I started working hard from a young age and consistently pursued my goals.”
The actress mentioned that taking on responsibilities from childhood became second nature to her. “Getting married young, becoming a mother, and managing my career was not easy. However, I faced every challenge and never gave up,” she stated.
Urvashi credited her success to her parents, saying, “Whenever I needed support, my parents were always there for me. The success I have achieved is largely due to their contributions. Their support gave me the strength to move forward in difficult situations.”
Rajeev Khandelwal was visibly moved by Urvashi’s words and praised her parents, noting that her father has been a strong pillar in her life. He emphasized that everyone needs someone to support them during tough times and encourage them to move ahead.
