Agra, 29 August (Kiran News). In a tragic road accident on the Agra-Lucknow Expressway on Friday morning, Agra’s Additional City Magistrate lost his life. He was travelling from Lucknow to Agra in his Creta car when an unidentified vehicle collided with his vehicle.

PCS officer Rajesh Kumar Jaiswal was posted as Additional City Magistrate (Third) at the Agra Collectorate headquarters. He was returning from Lucknow to Agra in his Creta car. Around 8:30 am, near milestone 77 in Karhal police station area of Mainpuri district, an unidentified vehicle hit his car, badly damaging the front portion. In this accident, Rajesh Kumar Jaiswal (45) and his car driver Pankaj Kumar Sharma (47) were both seriously injured. Police reached the spot and took both injured persons to Saifai Medical College, where doctors declared Rajesh Kumar Jaiswal dead. The driver, Pankaj Kumar Sharma, is undergoing treatment.
According to information, Rajesh Kumar Jaiswal’s family lives in Lucknow and he often travelled there for work. Before his posting as Additional City Magistrate in Agra, Rajesh had also served as SDM Kirawali in Agra. His residence is currently at the Agra DM compound. After the news of his death, a wave of grief spread among Agra’s administrative officers. Agra District Magistrate Arvind Mallappa Bangari expressed condolences on Rajesh Jaiswal’s death. A team has been sent from Agra to Saifai Medical College.
