Indore Engineers Face Notice for Negligence Amid Power Supply Issues

Indore, May 20: In Madhya Pradesh, the heat is at its peak, and the government is making efforts to ensure uninterrupted power supply for consumers. Following complaints of negligence in Indore, two engineers have received notices.

Energy Minister Pradyumna Singh Tomar visited power substations in Indore on Monday night to assess the situation. He directly interacted with consumers and found initial evidence of local engineers’ negligence, leading to the issuance of notices against two engineers.

During his visit to Old Palasia in Indore, some consumers reported frequent power outages. Minister Tomar stated that such negligence would not be tolerated.

He instructed Chief Engineer R.C. Jain to issue notices to power engineers Satyaprakash Jaiswal and Kamlesh Tale in the Manorama Ganj area.

Minister Tomar emphasized the need for quality maintenance to prevent repeated outages and directed that maintenance information be communicated to local residents. He reiterated that negligence regarding power supply would not be accepted.

Under the minister’s directive, notices were issued to the two engineers on Tuesday afternoon. If their responses are unsatisfactory, actions to halt their salary increments will be taken.

During the inspection of the power station, key officials present included Chief General Manager Prakash Singh Chauhan, Executive Director Gajra Mehta, Chief Engineer S.L. Karwadia, and City Superintending Engineer D.K. Gathe.
