Adani Skills and Education Partners with Gujarat Government to Transform ITIs in Kutch

Bhuj, May 29: Adani Skills and Education (ASE) has formalized two memorandums of understanding with the Gujarat government to transform 11 Industrial Training Institutes (ITIs) in Kutch. This initiative aims to enhance skill development and employment-focused training in the region.

ASE stated that the goal of this partnership is to create local job opportunities, reduce talent migration, and build an industry-ready talent pipeline in renewable energy, logistics, and infrastructure sectors.

As a capacity-building platform of the Adani Group, ASE focuses on creating a scalable talent ecosystem aligned with industry and enterprise demands.

Present at the event were Kunwarjibhai Bawaliya, Minister of Labour, Skill Development and Employment; Kantilal Amrutia, Minister of State for Labour, Skill Development and Employment; senior leaders and officials from the Adani Group; faculty members from all 11 government ITIs in Kutch; and students.

Bawaliya emphasized the importance of industry-oriented skill development in building a self-reliant workforce. He stated, “Our primary objective is to provide youth with world-class technical training and make every young person self-reliant under the Skill India Mission. Skilled youth are the foundation of a prosperous nation.”

Amrutia encouraged students to take advantage of technical education opportunities to build meaningful careers. He remarked, “Skilled youth are the true strength of our nation and can significantly contribute to India’s economic growth, national progress, and nation-building.”

This initiative aims to strengthen the local skilled workforce and reduce talent migration, ensuring that local talents contribute to the growth of Kutch.

ASE’s 10-point agenda for the transformation of ITIs is now recognized as the “Gujarat Model” in other states across the country.

Robin Bhumik, CEO of Adani Skills and Education, stated that Kutch remains central to ASE’s long-term skill development vision. He affirmed, “Kutch is our workplace, and we are fully committed to its future. Through our partnership with the Gujarat government and local ITIs, our goal is to prepare a skilled and industry-ready workforce capable of contributing to various sectors and supporting long-term regional transformation.”

Through its ‘Skill2Employ’ approach, ASE integrates classroom learning with real-world operational experience. By leveraging simulations, Centers of Excellence (CoEs), Train-the-Trainer programs, and globally standardized curricula, ASE aims to prepare a productive workforce from day one.
