Sanjay Nirupam Calls for Deportation of Those Who Refuse to Sing National Anthem

Mumbai, May 7: Shiv Sena leader Sanjay Nirupam has responded sharply to AIMIM leader Waris Pathan’s remarks regarding the national anthem. He stated that anyone who refuses to sing India’s national anthem should be sent to Pakistan.

In a conversation in Mumbai, Nirupam emphasized that individuals who cannot sing the national anthem and express opposition should not face capital punishment or life imprisonment. Instead, their citizenship should be revoked, and they should be expelled from India to Pakistan. He asserted that such individuals have no right to reside in India.

Nirupam also expressed concern over the recent murder of the personal assistant of Suvendu Adhikari in Bengal. He noted that the state is notorious for electoral violence. While central police forces and other agencies managed to curb violence during the elections, post-results, Trinamool Congress workers have begun to create chaos.

He condemned the murder of Adhikari’s PA, labeling it as not just a common incident but a planned act of political violence. Nirupam urged central agencies to identify and punish all activists inciting violence to restore peace in West Bengal, stating that there is no place for violence in a civilized and democratic society.

Referencing Tamil Nadu, he mentioned that no party has achieved a clear majority following the assembly elections, with TVK emerging as the largest party. Nirupam noted that TVK has claimed to form a government before the governor, but has yet to secure the support of 118 legislators. Despite Congress’s backing, achieving a majority appears challenging.

He remarked that parties rejected by the public are now attempting to come together to form a government. Nirupam warned that if this occurs, it would be an unethical move since the public has already dismissed both parties. He appealed to TVK leader and renowned actor Vijay to decide whether to form a government or push for new elections.

He described the situation as a constitutional crisis, emphasizing that the governor’s stance and the government formation process will be crucial in the coming days. On the first anniversary of Operation Sindoor, Nirupam paid tribute to the brave soldiers of the Indian Air Force, Army, and Navy. He highlighted that the operation, which lasted 88 hours, successfully destroyed terrorist bases, airfields, and supply lines in Pakistan. He praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi for the decisive response to the Pahalgam attack.
