Political Tensions Rise Over Rahul Gandhis Remarks, BJP Leaders Demand Apology

Chandigarh, May 20: Political tensions have escalated following remarks made by Congress leader Rahul Gandhi in the Lok Sabha regarding Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah, and the RSS. Several BJP leaders and ministers have condemned his statements and are demanding an apology.

Haryana Minister Anil Vij responded to Gandhi’s comments, asserting that PM Modi and Amit Shah are dedicated servants of the nation, tirelessly working to advance the country. He highlighted that when the Congress government was in power, India’s economy ranked 14th, whereas it now stands at 3rd place.

Vij emphasized that under their leadership, progress is evident in every sector. He urged Gandhi to respect the public’s decision, noting that the Congress party has lost nearly 95 elections, while the BJP enjoys widespread support, governing in over 22 states.

In response to questions about PM Modi’s foreign trips, Vij stated that the Prime Minister oversees the country from wherever he is, just as a family head would. He added that Modi had informed everyone before his travels, reinforcing the notion of responsible leadership.

Vij remarked that Gandhi’s discomfort with Modi’s foreign trips stems from the fact that he himself has traveled abroad frequently. He emphasized that India’s foreign policy fosters good relations with all nations, and Modi’s trips are essential for the country’s interests.

Meanwhile, Rajasthan BJP President Madan Rathore described Gandhi’s comments as a sign of Congress’s desperation. He noted that both domestically and internationally, many are beginning to see the opposition as hopeless. Rathore praised Modi for his significant contributions to the nation’s prosperity and development.

He criticized the Congress party for lacking substantive issues, stating that while criticism is welcome, it should be constructive. He recalled that even former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi never resorted to such language, calling for a boycott of those who do. Rathore concluded by asserting that leaders should be mindful of their language and conduct.
