Kirit Somaiya Addresses Encroachment Removal in Mumbai: Arrangements Made to Send Back Intruders

Mumbai, May 19: In a recent statement regarding the removal of encroachments in the impoverished Nagar area of Mumbai, BJP leader Kirit Somaiya asserted that the Uddhav Sena, along with Rahul Gandhi, AIMIM, and the Muslim League, have received a lesson regarding love jihad and land jihad.

Somaiya highlighted that intruders have illegally occupied railway land, causing disruptions to railway lines. He noted that these encroachments had halted the development of Bandra railway station. “Arrangements have been made to send all of them back. More than 700 shanties have been demolished. I thank the railway administration, Mumbai police, and the municipal corporation,” he stated.

He mentioned that the operation was completed within three hours, allowing the railway to commence laying new tracks as soon as possible. Somaiya criticized Uddhav Thackeray, claiming he shows no concern for national security. “This is my fourth visit here in two months. Encroachments have caused significant inconvenience to many people,” he added.

Somaiya also reported threats from local goons during the operation. He expressed gratitude to the court and Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, who issued directives for the action.

He vowed that in the coming days, Bandra would be free from intruders. “I want to warn vote mafias that land jihad, love jihad, and vote jihad will not be tolerated in Maharashtra, West Bengal, or Uttar Pradesh,” he declared.

Additionally, Somaiya stated that he would not allow the slaughter of any goats in residential areas during Bakrid. “Not a single goat will be slaughtered on the streets or in societies in Mumbai,” he asserted.

He claimed that none of the intruders possess proof from before 2011. He recalled an incident during Uddhav Thackeray’s tenure when a four-story mosque was built in Dharavi. “When we attempted to demolish it, 10,000 people took to the streets,” he noted, adding that the removal of encroachments would be a gradual process.
