New Delhi, May 21: Senior BJP leader Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi has responded to comments made by Rahul Gandhi, asserting that Prime Minister Modi and the central government have proven their mettle during times of crisis. He emphasized that creating an atmosphere of fear and confusion about the Prime Minister is not a new tactic. Since 2014, those engulfed in despair have not remained idle.
Naqvi stated that PM Modi’s government is enhancing the nation’s pride and has played a crucial role in overcoming challenges. He dismissed the long-standing propaganda against the RSS, BJP, and PM Modi, asserting that they are steadfastly advancing India’s interests.
In response to Sharad Pawar’s praise for PM Modi, Naqvi acknowledged Pawar as a senior leader who understands the political climate well.
Regarding the mandatory implementation of “Vande Mataram” in West Bengal, Naqvi urged against fostering an atmosphere of communal intolerance. He warned that those attempting to create such an environment around “Vande Mataram” are undermining the fabric of national harmony and must not succeed.
On the issue raised by the Jamiat Ulema’s district secretary, Mohammad Ashraf Ali Kasmi, regarding the government’s role, Naqvi reiterated that the government should focus on providing basic amenities, ensuring law and order, and concentrating on development rather than infringing on religious sentiments.
