Patna, May 21: BJP leaders have reacted strongly to Congress MP Rahul Gandhi’s recent remarks regarding Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s foreign visits. Bihar Minister Dilip Jayaswal stated that Gandhi’s discomfort stems from Modi’s popularity.
On the topic of making “Vande Mataram” mandatory in West Bengal madrasas, Jayaswal emphasized that nationalism is ingrained in every citizen. He asserted that all individuals in the country are nationalists and must adhere to the principles of nationalism. In response to Tejashwi Yadav’s questions about encounters in Bihar, Jayaswal reiterated that the government has clarified that criminals have no caste. The law will act wherever criminals are found.
Jayawsal urged the people of Bihar to ostracize those who flaunt power, such as goons and mafia members, from social activities. He encouraged citizens not to invite such individuals and to ignore them in public, instilling a sense of shame. He believes that societal improvement is impossible without this collective action against wrongdoers.
BJP leader Ajay Alok commented on PM Modi’s foreign tour, highlighting that significant agreements were reached on 15 crucial points, marking a historic milestone. He noted that India’s relationship with Italy has deepened, with a trade target of 20 billion euros set for 2030. Agreements were made in various sectors, including AI, technology, and shipbuilding. Alok remarked that Modi’s visits have caused discomfort for individuals like Rahul Gandhi.
Regarding the mandatory singing of “Vande Mataram” in madrasas, Alok stated that it is a national song. He questioned what else could be sung in schools or madrasas if not the national anthem.
Targeting Tejashwi Yadav, Alok remarked that he remains trapped in caste politics despite the setbacks of the 2025 elections. He suggested that Yadav could learn from the experiences of Akhilesh Yadav in Uttar Pradesh. Alok assured that the police have been given full authority to maintain law and order, emphasizing that there will be no compromise on this front.
