Mumbai, May 21: The highly anticipated trailer for Bobby Deol’s upcoming film ‘Bandar’ was released on Thursday. Inspired by true events, the film tells the story of a man who faces false accusations of rape after using a dating app, leading him to prison.
In just two and a half minutes, the trailer showcases a unique side of Bobby, generating significant excitement among fans. He portrays a character who is smart, charming, and perfectly in sync with the madness surrounding him.
Bobby plays a once-famous star whose shine is gradually fading. On stage, he appears flamboyant and arrogant, but in reality, he feels profoundly lonely. To combat his solitude, he turns to a dating app, swiping right on several women. However, one name emerges that changes everything.
Just moments into the trailer, the story takes a dramatic turn. The girl Bobby is seen laughing and smiling with soon falsely accuses him of rape, leaving him behind bars. His smile vanishes, the applause fades, and his world becomes confined. This story, inspired by real events, unveils the layers of a system that does not always make the right decisions.
The trailer features a stellar cast, including Sanya Malhotra, Raj B., Shetty, Sapna Pabbi, Saba Azad, Riddhi Sen, Jitendra Joshi, and Nagesh Bhosale, all of whom enhance the film’s appeal with their powerful performances.
