Indian Embassies Issue Advisory for Nationals in Kuwait and UAE Amid Flight Schedule Changes

New Delhi, March 15: Indian embassies across the Middle East are on high alert due to the current situation in the region. In Kuwait, Ambassador Parmita Tripathi held a virtual meeting today with representatives of Indian air carriers operating in the country.

Given the prevailing security conditions, Ambassador Tripathi emphasized the importance of maintaining regular communication with airline representatives. The discussions focused on the operational status of Indian carriers to assist Indian citizens traveling from Kuwait to India via Saudi Arabia. The safety and well-being of the Indian community in Kuwait remain the embassy’s top priority.

Additionally, the Indian embassy in the United Arab Emirates has issued a new advisory regarding flight schedules. Airlines have reported changes in their operations for March 15.

The embassy stated, “Based on directives from the UAE Civil Aviation Authority, airlines are releasing revised and limited flight schedules. Limited flights will operate from airports in Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Ras Al Khaimah, Sharjah, and Fujairah to various destinations in India. For more information, please contact the respective airlines.”

Earlier, Indian Ambassador Deepak Mittal met with community representatives in the UAE, including CG Satish Sivan, to discuss the welfare of the Indian community. They assured that the embassy and consulate are fully operational, with a 24/7 helpline available for Indians in need.

Air India has also announced that, following instructions from the UAE airport authority, it must further limit its operations for March 15. All planned flights by Air India Express to Abu Dhabi, Ras Al Khaimah, and Sharjah have been canceled.
