This marks a 6.8% increase compared to the same period last year. The railway passenger transport sector has seen positive improvements in both volume and quality, ensuring safe and smooth travel for the public.
Passenger transport products are supplied in a precise and efficient manner. During this period, the national railway system operated an average of 11,574 passenger trains daily, reflecting a 6.3% increase from the previous year.
The scale of regular-speed train operations has been maintained, and efforts continue to facilitate travel for residents in remote areas through the operation of welfare-focused “slow trains” and “rural revitalization” trains.
Careful organization of cross-border passenger transport, improvements in port clearance processes, and the promotion of personnel exchanges and economic cooperation are also being prioritized. The China-Laos Railway transported 143,000 cross-border passengers, a remarkable 36.3% increase from the same period last year.
Meanwhile, consumer spending on tourist trains is rising, alongside improvements in the quality and efficiency of travel services.
