Chitradurga, 22 August (Kiran News). Enforcement Directorate (ED) officials conducted a raid at the residence of Karnataka Congress MLA K.C. Veerendra in Chitradurga on Friday morning.

The ED team is searching four houses, including the residences of K.C. Veerendra and his brothers K.C. Nagaraja and K.C. Thippeswamy, in Challakere town of Chitradurga district. More than 40 ED officials arrived in private vehicles to conduct the inspection.

This raid is significant in connection with previous cases. On 11 December 2016, when income tax officials raided Veerendra’s house, they found Rs 5 crore in cash and 30 kg of gold in a bathroom.

Recently, raids have been conducted in view of allegations of illegal fund transfers through gaming apps via several companies owned by K.C. Veerendra, such as Ratna Gold, Ratna Multi Source, Puppy Technology, and Ratna Gaming Solutions.

The ED raids are underway at a total of 17 locations including Challakere in Chitradurga district, Bengaluru, and Goa. It is reported that MLA Veerendra is currently abroad.
