Beijing, May 17: A seminar was organized in China’s capital, Beijing, to study and implement Xi Jinping’s cultural thoughts for social science scholars. Li Shulei, a member of the Politburo of the CPC Central Committee and Minister of the CPC Central Committee’s Propaganda Department, participated and delivered a speech.
Attendees agreed that since the 18th National Congress of the Chinese Communist Party, scholars in philosophy and social sciences have deeply studied and implemented the spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinping’s important speeches at seminars focused on these fields. They noted significant progress in knowledge innovation, theoretical innovation, and practical measures, which have accelerated the development of philosophy and social sciences with Chinese characteristics, contributing significantly to the work of the CPC and the nation as a whole.
Representatives emphasized that the new era and journey provide a rich practical foundation and broad opportunities for innovation in the prosperity and development of philosophy and social sciences. They stressed the need for a deeper study and implementation of Xi Jinping’s cultural thoughts, increasing awareness of issues, and encouraging internal motivation for academic innovation to expedite the establishment of an independent knowledge system in Chinese philosophy and social sciences.
