
Beijing, May 17: Xi Jinping, General Secretary of the Communist Party of China, President, and Chairman of the Central Military Commission, recently issued important directives aimed at enhancing the high-quality development of philosophy and social sciences.
Xi highlighted that since the 18th National Congress of the CPC, the fields of philosophy and social sciences have effectively implemented the decisions of the Party’s Central Committee. This has led to significant advancements in knowledge innovation, theoretical innovation, and methodological innovation, resulting in a series of valuable research outcomes.
He stated that as the sector embarks on a new journey, it should strengthen the CPC’s comprehensive leadership in accordance with the ideology of socialism with Chinese characteristics for a new era. Additionally, there is a need to enhance systematic and theoretical research on the Party’s innovative principles.
Furthermore, Xi urged for a swift establishment of an independent knowledge system in Chinese philosophy and social sciences.
