New Delhi (Udaipur Kiran News) | Xiaomi is set to unveil its Xiaomi 17 series in China on 25 September 2025, marking the debut of its next generation of flagship Android smartphones. Xiaomi 17 Series: What’s New

The most notable design change arrives on the Xiaomi 17 Pro and Pro Max, which now feature a secondary display on the back within the rectangular camera module. This screen can double as a rear-facing viewfinder and offer additional functionality. All three models are also adopting more rounded corners, closely resembling Apple’s iPhone design language.

Overlaps With iPhone 17

Apple’s iPhone 17 lineup introduced narrower bezels, and Xiaomi has countered with an ultra-slim 1.18mm bezel on the Xiaomi 17 series. Another clear inspiration is the introduction of Xiaomi Super Island in HyperOS 3, mirroring Apple’s Dynamic Island feature with enhanced multitasking tools.

Leaked screenshots also point to a new Liquid Glass-inspired transparent search bar in HyperOS 3. Interestingly, Xiaomi skipped the “16” branding to align with Apple’s iPhone 17 series, even adopting the Pro Max naming convention for its top-end model.

Xiaomi x Apple-Like Integration

Beyond design, HyperOS 3 appears to bridge ecosystems with deeper Apple integration. Users may soon be able to sync notifications, photos, and files seamlessly between Xiaomi and Apple devices. Features such as floating app windows on iPads and Macs, as well as unlocking Xiaomi phones with Face ID or Touch ID, are reportedly part of this integration.

With its latest flagship series, Xiaomi is positioning itself closer than ever to Apple, both in terms of design cues and cross-device compatibility.
