Maharashtra Governor Launches Books by Bhiku Idate and Ravindra Prabhudesai

Mumbai, May 21: Maharashtra Governor Jishnu Dev Varma inaugurated three significant books on May 20 at Maharashtra Lok Bhavan in Mumbai. Among them is the book “Samrasata Ka Tirthyatri” by Padma Shri Bhiku (Dada) Idate, which is the English translation of the Marathi book “Samarasatecha Varkari.”

The translation was done by Rituraj Patki, and the foreword was written by Mohan Bhagwat, the Chief of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh.

During the event, the Governor also released two books by industrialist and Managing Director of the Pitambari Group, Dr. Ravindra Prabhudesai, titled “Aadhunik Shetiche Model” and “Aapala Konkan.”

Addressing the audience, the Governor stated that Bhiku Idate’s book “Samrasata Ka Tirthyatri” will help readers better understand the Samrasata movement of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh. He emphasized that even in today’s technological age, books hold significant value. The physical experience of reading a book remains truly remarkable.

The Governor also countered the misconception that the younger generation does not read books. He noted that while their reading mediums have changed, they are indeed reading. He expressed hope that people would start the tradition of gifting books on birthdays, weddings, and other special occasions.

In his address, Bhiku Idate elaborated on the formation of the “Samrasata Manch,” the various movements conducted through it, the “Phule-Ambedkar Sandesh Yatra,” and the status of marginalized and nomadic communities. He also shared insights from his extensive social journey.

Dr. Ravindra Prabhudesai provided detailed information about his two books, “Aadhunik Shetiche Model” and “Aapala Konkan.”

The book launch ceremony was attended by Padma Shri Ramesh Patange, guiding figure of Hindustan Publication Institute and the weekly “Vivek,” along with several officials from the weekly “Vivek” and the Pitambari Group.

Bhiku Idate has served as the founding president of the “Bhatke Vimukt Vikas Parishad” and has been the executive president of the “Samrasata Manch” for a long time. This event is considered a significant step towards promoting the message of harmony and social development.
