During the meeting, several concrete directives were issued to maintain law and order, ensure a peaceful Holi celebration, and take strict action against illegal activities. The District Magistrate emphasized the effective implementation of alcohol prohibition. He noted that the festival of Holi would be celebrated in the first week of March, a time when the likelihood of alcohol smuggling and illegal production tends to rise.
The District Magistrate instructed that intensive campaigns should be conducted in all hotspot areas, previously identified alcohol production centers, and suspicious locations. Police stations were directed to conduct patrols and gather information from watchmen regarding alcohol production and sales sites, leading to immediate raids based on the information collected. Orders were also given for intensive monitoring and operations to prevent alcohol smuggling via motorcycles and four-wheelers at border check posts and alternative routes. If necessary, new check posts should be established, and additional forces deployed, as directed to the police and excise departments.
