New Delhi, June 5: Rabi Lamichhane, the chairman of Nepal’s ruling National Freedom Party (RSP), met with U.S. Ambassador Sergio Gore during his visit to India. The two leaders discussed strengthening the U.S.-Nepal partnership.
Ambassador Gore shared on social media platform X, “Had a productive meeting with Rabi Lamichhane, the chairman of Nepal’s National Freedom Party, to discuss enhancing the U.S.-Nepal partnership. The U.S. values its friendship with Nepal and is committed to working together on shared priorities that support prosperity and opportunities for both nations.”
Earlier, India’s External Affairs Minister Dr. S. Jaishankar met Lamichhane in New Delhi. Following their meeting, Jaishankar tweeted, “It was a pleasure to meet Rabi Lamichhane and his delegation today in Delhi. Our discussions focused on the India-Nepal development partnership and the ties between our peoples, which play a crucial role in promoting growth and prosperity.”
Additionally, Nitin Naveen, the national president of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), engaged with the visiting RSP delegation, sharing insights about the party’s philosophy and Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s governance model.
Under the ‘Know BJP’ initiative, Naveen welcomed the delegation and shared his thoughts on the party’s organizational structure and public engagement strategies. He emphasized how the party operates from the national level down to the booth level, maintaining continuous contact with the public and addressing grassroots issues through the efforts of BJP workers.
