New Delhi, June 5: The BJP has announced its list of candidates for the 2026 Rajya Sabha elections. From Arunachal Pradesh, Tai Tagak is nominated, while four candidates from Gujarat and Tarun Chugh and Rajneesh Agarwal from Madhya Pradesh have also received tickets. A. Sharda Devi has been given a chance from Manipur. In Rajasthan, Dr. Alka Gurjar and Dr. Satish Poonia are the party’s candidates. Reactions from the candidates have started to emerge.
In Gandhinagar, BJP leader and Rajya Sabha candidate Rajesh Shukla expressed that the BJP is a party that assigns different responsibilities to each worker. He pledged to fulfill his new role with utmost sincerity and hard work. He emphasized that the Prime Minister always prioritizes development, and the party operates in that direction. He further stated that the BJP’s ideology is based on delivering development and empathy to the last person in society. Advancing this vision is his goal.
His wife, Anjana Shukla, also shared her happiness. She mentioned that this is a significant day for them, and she will support her husband’s new role with full dedication. She noted that her long tenure in the party has borne fruit, and she will continue to work diligently.
Anjana Shukla recounted her husband’s political journey, highlighting his past roles as a municipal chief, secretary in Patan-Mehsana, and overseeing organizational work in Aravalli district. She stated that he has always aimed to strengthen the organization in every capacity.
Meanwhile, in Jaipur, BJP leader and Rajya Sabha candidate Satish Poonia also shared his thoughts. He mentioned that he has always worked as a dedicated worker and has fulfilled every responsibility given to him with integrity. Whether it’s elections or organizational tasks, he has consistently worked for the party’s interests. He expressed gratitude for the honor of being nominated as a Rajya Sabha candidate and promised to fulfill this responsibility earnestly.
