India Must Strengthen Itself at All Levels: Mohan Bhagwat

Nagpur, June 5: Mohan Bhagwat, the Chief of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), stated during the closing ceremony of the organization’s ‘Annual Worker Development Camp’ in Nagpur that the time for India on the global stage has arrived. However, he emphasized that merely waiting for the right moment is insufficient; the nation and society must be fully prepared to take on their responsibilities.

In his address, Bhagwat remarked that the world is now looking towards India with hope for a new direction. He stressed the need for India to enhance its collective strength and fortify itself at every level.

“India is destined to guide the world towards a new direction, but this goal cannot be achieved by simply relying on time. The time has come for society to step forward and play its role with complete readiness,” he asserted.

Bhagwat noted that Hindu society is now more aware, active, and conscious of its identity than ever before. The positive outcomes of this collective awareness are becoming increasingly evident across the country.

He referenced the current global situation, highlighting the serious geopolitical and economic instability many nations are facing. Citing the tensions between the U.S. and Iran, he pointed out that international conflicts directly impact fuel and oil prices in India.

According to Bhagwat, India must advance based on its cultural heritage, values, and thought processes. He remarked that countries that once colonized India were not culturally or intellectually superior to it.

He also mentioned that the global order often prioritizes the language of power. The world tends to listen to those who wield a strong stick. While India speaks the truth, its voice is sometimes overlooked because the world places greater importance on power. Therefore, India must become undeniably strong.

The RSS chief described India as a ‘religiously conscious nation.’ He clarified that India’s objective is not to dominate or conquer others but to show the world the path of righteousness, balance, and a good life.

In his address, he stated that the work of the RSS is not for the fame of the organization or personal gain. The ultimate goal is the upliftment of the nation. If this mission can be accomplished without mentioning the RSS, it would still be acceptable and preferable for them.

The ceremony was attended by prominent industrialist Kumar Mangalam Birla as the chief guest.
