Job Opportunities Set to Rise in West Bengal with New Industries, Says Mamta Biswas Mishra

Kolkata, June 5: Mamta Biswas Mishra, a minister in the West Bengal government, stated in a recent conversation that industries had previously left the state due to fear and political instability. However, she believes that under the current BJP government, public confidence is increasing, and positive changes will soon be evident.

Mishra emphasized that without industrial growth, young people in the state would struggle to find employment. Over the years, many industries that invested in West Bengal had to exit due to the syndicate raj, intimidation, and an unsafe environment.

She noted that conditions are now improving, fostering a sense of trust among the populace. Mishra is optimistic that if investors feel secure, they will be encouraged to invest in West Bengal. The arrival of new industries is expected to create local job opportunities, reducing the need for young people to seek work in other states.

Discussing the exodus of industries, she recalled that several large companies had expressed interest in investing in West Bengal but faced challenges due to political and administrative issues. This led to many industries relocating outside the state, significantly impacting the local population and forcing youths to leave their homes in search of jobs.

Mishra stated that the government’s goal is to create an environment where the youth can find employment close to home. This not only increases job availability but also reduces migration. She stressed that a balanced development of both industry and agriculture could make West Bengal economically stronger.

According to Mishra, establishing a safe and reliable environment is crucial for boosting investment and job creation in the state. Only then can new industries emerge, paving the way for a brighter future for the youth.
