
Khargone, June 5: A significant embezzlement case involving ₹41.58 lakh has emerged at the Khargone District Cooperative Bank in Madhya Pradesh. Following a complaint from the bank management, police have registered an FIR against three employees and initiated an investigation. Currently, all three accused are reported to be absconding, and efforts to locate them are ongoing.
According to Station House Officer Sudarshan Kalosiya, the bank reported the embezzlement of ₹41,58,000. After receiving the complaint, the police filed a case under the relevant sections of the law. The three employees named in the investigation include Branch Manager Rajesh Rathore, Cashier Ritu Goyal, and Tryambak Mani.
The police stated that a thorough investigation is underway, and they are actively searching for the accused. Any new evidence that emerges during the investigation will guide further action. Officials have indicated that the suspects will be arrested and presented in court.
Meanwhile, Sandhya Rokade, the Managing Director of the District Cooperative Bank, has confirmed that departmental action against the implicated employees has already commenced. She mentioned that a letter has been sent to the District Collector, requesting the initiation of procedures to seize the movable and immovable assets of the accused. The bank aims to recover the embezzled amount as swiftly as possible.
Rokade also noted that the bank accounts, fixed deposits, and lockers of the accused have been identified. Additionally, information regarding their other assets is being gathered to facilitate the recovery process through legal means.
As of now, all three accused, including Cashier Ritu Goyal, remain at large, and no new information about their whereabouts has surfaced. The police are diligently pursuing leads to apprehend them.
Both the police and bank administration are conducting investigations at their respective levels. Officials have assured that strict action will be taken against those found guilty, and every possible measure will be implemented to recover the full amount of the embezzlement.
