Rakesh Sinha Criticizes Nitish Kumars Move to Rajya Sabha as an Insult to Bihars Voters

Ranchi, March 6: Jharkhand Congress leader Rakesh Sinha has condemned Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar’s unexpected decision to move to the Rajya Sabha, calling it a direct insult to the people of Bihar. He stated that Kumar’s removal from his position after coming to power disregards the public mandate.

In a conversation in Ranchi, Sinha emphasized that the people of Bihar had given a significant majority to the NDA under Nitish Kumar’s leadership in the 2025 assembly elections, expecting him to govern for five years. Now, with Kumar’s shift to the Rajya Sabha, Sinha believes this is a betrayal of the people’s trust.

Sinha also criticized the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), suggesting that this was not unexpected. He claimed it was always anticipated that Kumar would be sidelined, thereby disrespecting the mandate of Bihar’s voters. He pointed out that the public did not vote for the BJP but rather for Nitish Kumar, and now the BJP has successfully marginalized him.

Regarding the appointment of a new governor in Bihar, Sinha noted that several governors have been replaced and some have resigned. He questioned the circumstances surrounding these changes, suggesting that the central government might be planning something significant. He urged the public to stay alert, as something major could be on the horizon.

On the topic of the United States granting India a 30-day waiver to purchase oil from Russia, Sinha remarked that India has become a puppet of the U.S. He argued that a country like India should have its own stance on such issues, which currently seems lacking.

Chief Minister Nitish Kumar had announced his intention to transition to the Rajya Sabha via a post on X, stating that he had filed his nomination papers in the presence of Union Home Minister Amit Shah.
