Mumbai, May 19: Actress and BJP MP Kangana Ranaut has raised serious questions about societal and familial attitudes in response to the Twisha Sharma death case. She emphasized the importance of women becoming financially independent before marriage. “My advice is for women to focus on their careers and self-reliance first,” she stated.
In an Instagram story, Kangana noted, “Almost every day, we hear tragic news related to married women. Often, young, educated women plead with their parents for help to escape difficult situations. However, Indian society is notorious for abandoning daughters after marriage.”
Kangana further explained, “When a woman stands on her own feet, she can make life decisions with more confidence and strength. The worlds of social media, fashion, dating, marriage, and makeup often lure girls towards superficial aspects, but very few tell them that true strength lies in becoming self-reliant. A woman’s career and identity should be more important than any relationship.”
The BJP MP asserted, “Every girl must become her own hero. No one else will come to save anyone in life. It is more crucial for a woman to determine who she wants to be and how she wants to live her life, rather than focusing on whom she marries.”
Kangana urged women to create the lives they desire and not to abandon their dreams based on others’ opinions.
