R. Madhavan Expresses Outrage Over Unauthorized Use of Interview Clip

Mumbai, May 20: Actor R. Madhavan is currently in the spotlight for expressing his displeasure towards a wellness brand. He took to social media to voice his concerns about a company that allegedly used a clip from one of his interviews for promotional purposes without his consent.

Madhavan stated that the company utilized a segment of his video in a way that could mislead the public into believing he endorsed their product. He condemned this action and mentioned the possibility of legal action.

On Wednesday, Madhavan shared a screenshot of a short video post created by the wellness brand on his Instagram account. The post featured a glimpse of his interview, clearly manipulated to suggest that he was praising or promoting the product. This misrepresentation prompted Madhavan to express his frustration.

In his response to the image, he wrote, “This video has been crafted to make it seem like I am promoting the product. No permission was sought, and my interview was directly used as promotional material. Such actions erode public trust, leaving people confused about who is right and who is wrong. This is shameful.”

Additionally, Madhavan included a lengthy caption with his post, stating, “It is deeply saddening and embarrassing that some individuals and companies believe they can take parts of someone’s interview for their promotions. Creating promotional content from an artist’s words or videos without their consent is wrong. A legal notice has been sent regarding this matter.”

He also advised his followers to be cautious of such professionals and companies. Following Madhavan’s post, many supporters emerged on social media to back him.
