These include a pact to enhance defense cyber cooperation, collaboration between India’s National Defense College and South Korea’s Korea National Defense University, and agreements related to cooperation in United Nations peacekeeping missions.
These agreements are seen as crucial steps towards making the partnership between the two nations more comprehensive, multidimensional, and future-oriented. The agreements were signed in the presence of Defense Minister Rajnath Singh during his visit to South Korea.
During his trip, Singh held important meetings with South Korean Defense Minister An Gyu-baek and Minister Lee Yong-cheol of the Defense Acquisition Program Administration. Defense experts believe that Singh’s visit will give new momentum to India-South Korea defense relations. Additionally, these discussions will play a vital role in strengthening strategic balance, defense cooperation, and technical partnerships in the Indo-Pacific region. Before these significant meetings, Singh visited the National Cemetery of Korea in Seoul on Wednesday morning, where he paid tribute to the nation’s brave soldiers.
