Divya Dutta Remembers Her First National Award with Heartfelt Nostalgia

Mumbai, June 1: Actress Divya Dutta has made an indelible mark on Indian cinema with her versatile performances. She received the National Award for Best Supporting Actress in 2018 for her role in the film “Irada.” On Monday, she shared an emotional post recalling this significant moment.

In an Instagram video, Dutta is seen receiving her award at Vigyan Bhawan in New Delhi. The clip also features glimpses of her portrayal of the Chief Minister of Punjab in “Irada.”

Reflecting on the past, Dutta wrote, “This moment was very special for me. My first National Award for ‘Irada’ remains unforgettable. I remember my brother holding my hand and dancing with me in that joyous moment.”

She revealed that this film helped her cope with the grief of her mother’s passing. “’Irada’ was the first film I shot after my mother left us. I was emotionally shattered at that time, but this film greatly assisted me in overcoming that difficult phase. I sincerely thank Divya for sharing these memories,” she added.

Dutta won the National Award at the 65th National Film Awards for her impactful performance in “Irada.” This prestigious honor marked a turning point in her career, bringing her acting to new heights and wider recognition.
