DMK Launches Program to Engage Gen-Z Voters in Tamil Nadu

Chennai, June 1: The Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) is gearing up to launch a program aimed at increasing political awareness and encouraging greater participation among young voters. Supporters and social media volunteers will focus on reaching out to Generation Z.

The initiative will roll out in phases across districts such as Pudukkottai, Coimbatore, Tiruchi, and Thanjavur. Organizers state that the program aims to create a platform for youth to discuss the importance of informed participation in governance, public policies, social issues, and politics.

Concerns have risen among DMK supporters regarding the influence of celebrities and social media on young people. This has prompted the launch of the campaign.

According to the organizers, the outreach initiative seeks to bridge the gap between youth and mainstream political discussions. It will include conversations, discussions, and awareness sessions emphasizing how government policies impact employment, education, economic opportunities, and daily life.

Volunteers coordinating the program in various districts have reported a positive response from the youth. The first phase is expected to kick off on June 7 in Pudukkottai, followed by events in Coimbatore on June 14 and Tiruchi on June 21.

As part of this extensive outreach campaign across the state, additional programs are also being planned in Thanjavur and other districts. Organizers hope that this initiative will evolve into a significant platform for engaging youth, focusing on civic awareness, governance, and discussions related to public policies throughout Tamil Nadu.
